I am so obsessed with these photos from Kaiti and Zion’s mountain engagement session in Burbank! Locations like this mountain overlooking the city, have quickly become one of my favorite spots to shoot in. I love the adventurous, carefree energy locations like this bring, and this one in Burbank matched Kaiti and Zion’s energy PERFECTLY!
In my last blog post, I talked a little bit about mentorship opportunities! Kaiti and Zion, while being one of the cutest couples ever, actually ended up being part of one of my mentorship sessions! I’ve been offering one on one’s like this for a while now, and they are literally one of my favorite things about my job. I love connecting with photographers at ANY part in their journey, learning from them, and sharing knowledge i’ve picked up along the way.
A lot of times, I work with photographers who are just starting out in their journey. Believe me, I know EXACTLY what it feels like. When I first decided to follow my heart and pursue photography, I was freaking LOST. Literally had no idea what the heck I was doing. However, through lots of trial and error, mentors of my own, and my love for photography guiding me, I built my business from the ground up. Now, i’m able to look back on all that i’ve learned, and share it with others. Education is a lifelong journey, and i’m still learning new thing everyday. Everyone starts somewhere! It means THE WORLD to me that new photographers trust me enough to lean on when building their business up, and I will never stop dedicating myself to spreading all the knowledge I can!
This mountain engagement session with Kaiti and Zion was unforgettable! I had so much fun exploring alongside these cuties with my mentee. Kaiti and Zion are freaking naturals in front of the camera, and they were SO easy to work with. They were both laid back, and honestly so funny. I was cracking up with Zion over the fact that I think he looks IDENTICAL to the guy from George Of The Jungle.
During my shoot sessions with mentees, I like to spend time going over tons of things. I cover everything from energy to posing, things like outfits, lighting, and how I interact with my clients. This session was fun from start to finish, and I love how the photos turned out!
