I have been DYING to show off Kate and Zach’s outdoor wedding day in Indio! These two have been one of my long time couples, and I loved being able to hangout with them while they tied the knot! Every detail of this incredible, desert inspired bohemian wedding day BLEW my mind! One of the best parts of my job is growing alongside my clients, and documenting every part of their love story. I met Kate and Zach WAAAYY back when I first moved to Southern California, and I captured their engagement photos. I remember telling them to remember me when they FINALLY got engaged, and I was so happy when they reached out to me when planning their wedding day!
Kate and Zach really wanted to lean in California’s natural beauty for their wedding day vibe. They dreamed of a romantic wedding day that felt very boho, and desert inspired. Desert Ridge Estate in Indio, California was the PERFECT venue to bring their dream day to life!
Why I LOVE Desert Ridge Estate!
Desert Ridge estate is seriously one of the most sought after wedding venues in California. Believe me, they earned this title for GOOD reason. This venue is absolutely HUGE, and it features endless options for entertaining and even on sight lodging. Desert Ridge is extremely well maintained, and includes gorgeous palm trees, soothing waterfalls, fountains, a shimmering private 3 acre spring fed lake. You’re surrounded by palm trees, and the surrounding desert really makes you feel like you’re in a whole different world.
Kate and Zach’s Wedding Day!
This wedding day was seriously a party from start to finish. All of Kate’s bridesmaids were freaking angels, and I was obsessed with their matching satin pink robes. Kate blew every single one of them away when she did a first look with her girls! She looked absolutely breathtaking in her mermaid, lace wedding dress. Kate and Zach opted out of a first look, and did a first touch instead. It was SO CUTE!! I love when couples incorporate unique details like that into their day. First touches are SO FUN because it really add’s to those wedding day butterflies, but still preserves that special moment during your ceremony.
Desert Ridge Estate’s ceremony space was stunning. It felt so fresh, naturally stunning and overall perfect for Kate and Zach’s vibe. Their arch was nestled right up against one of the properties free flowing ponds, which I was in love with. Zach and Kate’s ceremony was so intentional, authentic, and downright loving. It was SO surreal to watch them finally tie the damn knot, and I am so glad I was able to document it for them!
The Reception!
Judging from the energy during their wedding day, I had a pretty good feeling that the dance floor was going to be HYPE. Let me tell you… this group did not disappoint. Every single person was ready to PARTY, and I know they all made memories to last a lifetime. This dance floor was genuinely one of the most HYPE evenings EVER! I could not have imagined a better wedding day for these two, and I hope you LOVE these photos too!
